A traditional ceremony of the Thai Phuan, citizens of Ban Hat Siao, Si Satchanalai Elephant Back Ordination Procession is held annually on April 7 – 8. It features a spectacular procession of ordination candidates in colorful costumes, on the backs of some 20-30 decorated elephants. Prasat Hin Khao Phanom Rung is the second most significant Khmer-style temple in Northeastern Thailand.
