Thailand International Balloon Festival will be up and away, with more than 60 hot-air balloons from countries around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, South Africa, Croatia, and Malaysia. This spectator and photographer’s delight is expected to attract as many as 300,000 visitors to the festival site at War Dog Battalion in Pak Chong district. The Dok Bua Tong, or wild sunflowers, bloom during November, painting the entire hilly area of Doi Mae U-Kho in Khun Yuam district. They are as yellow as daisies and almost as large as sunflowers.
